Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II is set to launch in October, with beta testing commencing in September. As previously mentioned, players who pre-order the Vault Edition will enjoy exclusive perks during this beta phase.
Activision has disclosed that the game will feature staggered release dates for various content. Specifically, those who pre-order will gain access to the campaign a week ahead of the official launch, starting October 20th. Given that previous Call of Duty campaigns are typically short, I find it puzzling that early access is granted before the multiplayer mode is available.
While early campaign access may not be the main draw for pre-orders, it certainly adds value. The official release date for all players is set for October 28th, when both multiplayer and campaign modes will become accessible. Additionally, pre-order customers will receive exclusive in-game items.
Activision has also announced a sequel to Warzone, which will replace the beloved current game mode. The release date for the Warzone sequel is still under wraps but is expected to follow the main MWII launch.
