Avoiding Common Pitfalls in Writing: Embrace Your Creativity

Understanding the Writing Journey
To kick off this discussion, let’s have a little fun. Begin by searching for "Writing Tips That Help You Fail as A Writer" on your preferred search engine.
The search yields approximately 238,000 articles. One piece that caught my attention was titled “Writing About Writing” Is Another Trap For Medium, dated June 27th, 2023. This article sparked the idea for this post.
I was prompted to explore this article after subscribing to Zohvib's email updates.
Within the article, a thought-provoking line stood out: “Challenge yourself to think outside the box of writing about writing.” This reminded me of the adage, “To think outside the box, learn the rules inside the box.” Another insightful suggestion was to “write for a wide audience,” which I find particularly relevant.
Here's how I approach this: I gather writing ideas by reading various authors on Medium who offer creative prompts. A final takeaway from the article was to “step back and revisit why you began writing in the first place.”
Reflecting on this, I realized I love crafting stories simply because it brings me joy.
Future Writing Inspirations
I envision a title for my future work: "I Will Never Run Out of Stories to Tell." My writing journey is supported by two guiding figures in my mind. They continuously offer advice on structuring my articles. Brevity whispers, “You have too many words,” while Verbosity counters with, “More words are better.”
So, who prevailed in this piece? Regardless, I will continue to smile and write, even if my posts receive minimal views or reads.
To start your own journey, begin with the phrase, “I like writing because…” and you’ll pave the way toward a fulfilling writing life.
That's all for now!
