Navigating the Challenges of Humanizing AI-Generated Content

Chapter 1: The Current Landscape of AI Content
Are we truly at this juncture?
As an AI consultant, my role extends beyond merely advising on embracing AI technologies; I aim to guide their wise usage as well. I’m not a salesperson trying to pitch you a product for profit. However, I’ve observed that many individuals prefer not to confront the reality. They wish to stay ahead in the tech realm, often ignoring the potential repercussions of merely following trends.
One of my clients recently shared some "exciting" news during our last consultation. They discovered an application designed to make AI-generated text appear more human-like. They believed this was the ultimate solution for tailoring ChatGPT-generated text for a broader audience.
Yet, they encountered a significant issue: when they searched online, the results yielded an abundance of similar articles on the same topics, all echoing similar phrases and styles. As I’ve pointed out previously, this is subpar content.
They expressed concerns that Google would inevitably penalize sites that produce such redundant material. For marketing agencies that rely heavily on content creation for their income, this poses a serious threat, especially when clients realize that they have been sold generic material for which they have paid.
I cautioned them that simply humanizing content wouldn't solve their problems if the underlying content is flawed. Let’s examine the marketing sector today. Numerous small businesses have started integrating ChatGPT and similar AI tools into their workflows, resulting in a flood of content. However, the quality of this output is often disappointing—it lacks distinct voice, style, and originality. Who is genuinely interested in reading it?
Certainly not me.
It's insufficient to merely produce content; it must be crafted intelligently. Consider various factors: Who is the target audience? Is the content engaging or just another bland piece? What is the core intent behind creating this material? Are you recycling phrases from one article to another? Have you established a unique voice for each client? Is it worthwhile to write blog posts and articles that no one will read, or should you focus on collaborating with influencers and user-generated content (UGC)?
Have you noticed that our generation tends to read less and watch more? To successfully sell a product, you must illustrate its necessity. To help consumers understand why they should purchase it, you need to present it visually and use clear, simple language that resonates with everyone. It’s time to rethink your content strategies. The traditional approaches are ineffective, even when utilizing ChatGPT.
Ponder this for a moment.
