Unlocking the Secrets of Mental Cleansing: A Unique Approach

Written on

Chapter 1: The Brain-Gut Connection

In my previous article, I delved into groundbreaking findings suggesting that our brain is akin to a colon confined within our skulls. To clarify, there are two "bowels": the right and left hemispheres.

Scientists Uncover: The Brain Resembles a Colon Filled with Cognitive Waste

How can we assert that the brain functions like a bowel? This is one of those insights that seems obvious upon reflection. Not only do the brain and intestines share similar appearances, but they also exhibit comparable structural elements.

During our last discussion, I consulted Dr. Eon Enderson from the Duluth Small Boat Association about the fascinating parallels between the brain and intestines.

"The brain consists of neurons, astrocytes, and glial cells," he explained. "Conversely, the intestines are composed of secretory cells, smooth muscle, collagen, along with various nerve fibers. Essentially, they are quite similar, aside from the specifics."

If Dr. Enderson holds this view, it warrants serious consideration. After all, he is a celebrated champion in the sailing community. He shared, "Some people even believe the entire body functions as a brain, and researchers are actively investigating the connection between our gut bacteria and mental health."

To quote Dr. Enderson further: "We are influenced by the bacteria residing in our intestines. A lack of sugar? Gut bacteria can restrict dopamine production and alter serotonin levels until we satisfy their cravings. This struggle to give up carbs and sweets is largely due to our gut bacteria, which induce discomfort when deprived of their preferred food. Our colon may serve as a 'skull' housing the bacteria that direct our thoughts and decisions. While our brains can perform calculations and maintain our posture, our lives are ultimately guided by the whims of the bacteria thriving in our colon."

This raises an intriguing question: if the brain acts as a bowel, processing information instead of food, does that mean information possesses energy, substance, or mass, similar to food?

Dr. Enderson didn’t have an answer, prompting me to conduct my own research. If information can be digested, it must possess some form of energy, right?

Or is the brain a specialized bowel capable of processing intangible material?

The investigation leads to complex mathematical concepts essential for determining whether information has energy, famously known as Bremermann’s limit, named after Hans-Joachim Bremermann. This principle indicates there is a maximum capacity for any self-contained system within the physical universe.

Let's simplify this: if our minds are cluttered with nonsense [C], then [C] occupies considerable space in our mental storage. C+C+C+C+C=Clutter. Yes, our brains are indeed filled with trivial thoughts. So, how do we address this issue?

Evacuating Mental Clutter

You don’t need to be a mathematician to solve this. If our brain is akin to an intestine, it’s crucial to keep the flow of thoughts moving. We must clear out all the stagnant information that makes us feel unwell.

But how can we effectively purge our "brain bowels"?

Most people tend to vocalize their inner chaos through their mouths, regrettably. The truth is, there are more effective methods available.

Finding Your Private Space

First, secure a private environment for your mental release. Just as you wouldn’t relieve yourself in public, the same applies to mental cleansing; privacy is essential.

When I embarked on my brain-clearing journey, I took precautions to ensure I was alone. The first time can be quite explosive, so choose a secluded spot. Options include:

  • A retro fallout shelter, ideal for a dramatic release.
  • A storm cellar, reminiscent of "The Wizard of Oz," where the storm of thoughts can be safely contained.
  • A creepy furnace room, perfect for venting without disturbance.
  • A bathroom, or even a closet, where you can retreat from the world.
