Section 1.1: Cases That Stand Out

When it comes to cases, I have two standout favorites.

First up is the MagBak (use discount code: PETEMATHESON15). This magnetic case is my top pick! It's just as slim as standard Apple cases but features exceptionally strong magnets that allow you to attach your phone to any metal surface. This is incredibly handy for sticking your phone to gym equipment or even a fridge. Recently, my wife’s phone fell from her pocket but instead of hitting the ground, it clung to the side of the car, preventing what could have been a cracked screen!

Additionally, I've invested in MagBak's multi-device desk charger, which conveniently charges my phone, watch, and headphones simultaneously. While it may not be the most visually appealing accessory, its functionality is excellent. They also offer a Tesla charger that fits seamlessly in a Tesla Model 3 or Model Y, allowing your iPhone to charge wirelessly while perfectly positioned for FaceID and navigation.

The second case I recommend is from Pitaka, which boasts an ultra-thin design at just 0.95mm and is also MagSafe compatible. They come in various stylish designs, and I appreciate how lightweight they are.

Pitaka also offers a variety of gadgets, including an Airtag holder that doubles as a lightning cable, and a multitool option that can be attached to bags or keys, cleverly concealing the Airtag to deter potential thieves.

If you prefer even slimmer cases, consider Latercase, which measures 0.6mm thick. I use one on my Google Pixel 6 Pro, and while it fits well, I’ve noticed some wear on the corners over time. However, for those who prioritize a super-slim profile and take care of their devices, Latercase might be the perfect fit.

For those prone to dropping their phones—like my wife—Rhino Shield cases are a must-have. They offer excellent protection against significant impacts. Section 1.2: The Importance of Screen Protection

I used to overlook screen protectors until I encountered a frustrating scratch across my iPhone screen. After exploring numerous options, I found an excellent matte screen protector on Amazon.

While a matte finish may not appeal to everyone, it significantly reduces glare and reflection, enhancing the touch experience. These protectors are affordable and usually come with two in a package, along with a small camera cover for added protection.

However, be cautious: the MagBak case and matte screen protector may not work well together on the iPhone 13, as the case can cause the protector to lift slightly. I plan to test this with the iPhone 14 and hope for better compatibility. MagBak does offer their own screen protector, but unfortunately, they don’t have a matte option.

Section 1.3: Audio Accessories for the iPhone 14

In my quest for the best audio experience, I’ve tested various earbuds, including Pixel Buds, AirPods, and Redmi Buds. However, the Beats Fit Pros stand out as my favorites due to their secure fit, outstanding noise cancellation, and impressive battery life. I use them daily!

For those who prefer traditional headphones, I recommend the Sony XM5s or the Apple AirPods Max. While I find the XM5s a bit uncomfortable during prolonged use, they still provide excellent sound quality.

Section 1.4: Smartwatch Recommendations

My go-to smartwatch is the Apple Watch Series 7. I see no need to upgrade to the Series 8 or the Apple Watch Ultra, as I don't plan on engaging in extreme activities like hiking in the Arctic or deep-sea diving. I’ll stick with the Series 7 for now.
