Initially, I wrote exclusively to teachers and administrators, viewing them as the sole "professional educators." However, I overlooked a significant truth.

While attending AA meetings, I failed to recognize that individuals celebrating their first thirty-day sobriety chip are just as much educators. They guide those without chips on how to earn one and remind those further along the path of its significance. They embody the essence of being an "educator."

Who qualifies as an educator? Anyone striving to assist others in achieving their goals. At its core, an educator is someone who shares knowledge with learners. This realization emphasizes that the journey to becoming an educator is not a rigid structure; it is a blend of personal experiences and the desire to share them. Each of us possesses valuable lessons to offer.

You are more than just a title or role; you serve as a beacon of hope and guidance, forging pathways through your unique life experiences.
