Finding the Right Balance Between Hobbies and Side Hustles

Chapter 1: Embracing Mindful Content Consumption
This discussion continues from Part 1 of my newsletter series.
Changing My Viewing Habits
I am making a personal shift that I believe will enhance my content on Heidi Nobel, ultimately benefiting my audience. As a content creator and consumer, you might find it helpful to adopt similar practices for a more mindful and balanced lifestyle.
What’s the Change?
I’ve realized that I’ve been inundated with YouTube videos focused on growth strategies and passive income. Frankly, I’m tired of seeing this kind of content cluttering my Heidi Nobel homepage. In light of this, I’ve decided to unsubscribe from channels that focus on these topics. By doing this, I aim to train the algorithm not to display such content in the future.
This transition will allow Heidi Nobel to become a relaxing space for both myself and my viewers. I want the freedom to step away from income generation and channel expansion discussions when I log into YouTube!
A Win-Win Situation
This adjustment is beneficial for everyone involved. I will be able to discover inspiring and mindful content unrelated to brand-building, which aligns perfectly with the message I want to convey through Simply Nobel.
Moreover, by being selective about the content I engage with and the channels I support, I can positively impact the growth of both my channels.
Why is This Important?
When I comment on a video from a channel that shares a similar niche, I can attract the right audience to my own channels. For instance, if I leave a comment on a video by Brian G Johnson, who specializes in YouTube growth, using my Simply Nobel account, his viewers are more likely to explore my channel. The same principle applies when I interact with a health and wellness channel.
From a Mindfulness Perspective
As a viewer, you might find it rewarding to try this approach yourself.
How and Why to Implement This
To enhance your viewing experience, consider creating multiple YouTube channels, even if you don’t plan on producing content. This allows you to curate your viewing preferences, rather than being bombarded with suggestions that don’t resonate with you.
If you opt to follow my channels, consider doing so from distinct niche accounts. This way, you can avoid receiving side-hustle content on days when you simply want to unwind with wholesome videos like those from Heidi Nobel.
Genius, right? 😎 Let me know if this resonates with you and if you decide to give it a shot!
