As I finalized responses for the latest issue of the Teaching Startup Newsletter, I grasped the importance of having a clear mission to drive growth and the practical steps to implement this understanding. I'm genuinely excited about the progress we've made with Teaching Startup, and I encourage others to engage with it.

Teaching Startup aims to distill the most valuable aspects of startup guidance into something accessible and efficient. This value emerges when we strip away unnecessary formalities and self-serving agendas, resulting in a streamlined system that ensures experienced professionals are compensated fairly for their expertise.
What remains is a space where entrepreneurs can pose genuine questions and receive insightful answers from myself and a select group of seasoned entrepreneurs.
Advisement = Solutions. It’s simple, yet impactful.

For years, I’ve been frustrated by two significant issues in the realm of entrepreneurship: the scarcity of quality startup advice and the overwhelming challenge of reaching every entrepreneur who seeks help.
Thus, Teaching Startup was born out of a desire to dive deeper into real entrepreneurial concerns, providing responses that are both accurate and practical—though perhaps not always the most sensational.
However, I've been apprehensive that Teaching Startup relies too heavily on my input alone, which I still believe is an issue.
A mentor recently reminded me that this isn't a critical flaw, but rather a scaling challenge. Understanding this distinction is vital; my mission is to make startup advice readily available and effective for as many entrepreneurs as possible, regardless of who provides the answers.

To avoid chaos, it's crucial to focus on your mission before attempting to scale. In entrepreneurship, there are no pre-defined paths. If your mission doesn’t serve as your guiding principle, you may easily lose direction.

The impetus for my actions came from feedback on a draft response I had prepared for an entrepreneur. One key phrase in the reply stood out: "root cause." This term encapsulated the core principle that can guide the solutions I aim to provide.
Having developed numerous mission statements and marketing strategies, I've learned to discern genuine insights from the superficial. As a founder or CEO, the truths you seek are often waiting to be uncovered, not invented in a conference room.
